N. B.  Information here regards only those examinations connected to courses that I have personally taught during this academic year (III year of the triennale degree course and II of the magistrale degree course). Any other information should be sought on the relevant Faculty/Dept. web site.
Please note that I shall not be examining II lingua any longer and any students remaining from my old course should seek the relevant professor according to the initial of their surname.

ESONERI (exemption tests for those who are currently attending my courses and who have attended for the required number of lessons).
1) III year (C2 course): the written test will be on Wednesday 30th May at 08.15 in aula VI;

2) II year Magistrale: the written test will be on Tuesday 29th May at 08.00 at the ex-Vetreria Sciarra, aula A.

MLC students will do their oral examination with prof. Wardle. Details of dates for those who will have a spoken test with me will be posted here by Tuesday 12th June. Students who did not succeed in passing the test are STRONGLY advised to come and see their papers as soon as possible so that they may analyse their difficulties and organise a suitable study programme for the coming session of examinations in September. This will be done during my office hours (Wednesdays from 10.30-12.30 in Villa Mirafiori).

Those students who have to do an ORAL EXAM with me (prof. Montini course) may do so on one of the following dates:
Tuesday 26 June @ 09.00: Cristofaro; Geracitano; Marcoccia;

Wednesday 27 June @ 09.00

Those who have to do Prof. Montini's exam will need to be examinined orally by me first. This is what is required:For the (lettorato) oral examination students are required to bring two copies (photocopies) of two articles on the same subject, of their own choice. One must be from a broadsheet newspaper, the other one from a tabloid. The articles must have been published within the seven days preceding the oral examination. STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO COMPARE THE LANGUAGE OF THE ARTICLES. THESE SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN FROM INTERNET. THERE IS AN AMPLE CHOICE OF NEWSPAPERS IN ROME AND IN LARGE TOWNS.

 When I have posted possible days here, the students who have passed the examination should write to me about the oral exam. Students who have not passed may see their papers during ricevimento after the examination period.

MAGISTRALE II ORAL EXAMINATION: You will be required to read a short article in Italian and then be prepared to summarise it in English orally and converse intelligently about it. You will also be tested on your pronunciation as you will be asked to read some lines of the verses published here on 12th December 2011, the pronuniciation of which you will be expected to have studied in advance.

NOTA BENE: You MUST bring your yellow card (libretto) to the written exam, to prove you have passed the 2nd year examination, lingua & lettorato. Alternatively, you may bring with you the verbale signed by the prof. of the 2nd year. The third year exam can only be done AFTER having completed the 2nd year.  (both parts, lingua & lettorato). You must bring the yellow card to any oral examination you have to do.
